STRATEGIES FOR A STRESS FREE EVENT:

1. Contact JMS Originals as early as possible. Do not abide by the guidelines of magazines and television shows that suggest that 3 months ahead of the event is ample time to contact your florist. One- many busy dates become booked and yours may not any longer be available. Two- if containers or ribbons need to be ordered the more lead time the better chance we have of supplying them. Three- having your vendors all lined up and under contract takes the pressure off of you and allows you to budget more wisely.
2. Pictures of ideas that you like or that reflect your theme greatly aid us in creating your vision with our florals and accessories. Of course JMS has many books and trade magazines to help you with this, but if you do have pics of your ideas or color schemes, make copies to leave with us.
3. Informing all your vendors of the names and contact information of all the other vendors involved in your event is often helpful and again, takes out one step if there are questions. JMS can directly contact the site to have questions answered instead of you having to do so.
4. Make full use of JMS's many in- stock rental items. We know what looks best with them and this saves you additional stops and fees.
5. Be sure to have all of the key people at all meetings to save time and to avoid unneeded changes and confusion.
6. Know your colors and sites before choosing our flowers and accessories.
7. Prioritize your flower and accessory needs. Decide which items or areas are most important to you and ask JMS to help you to best match your needs and your budget.
8. Keep in mind that flowers are living things and fluctuations in color and availability amy occur. JMS will guide you to the best choices for each time of year and will alway let you know of possible problem items.
9. Determine a budget. Realize that purchasing flowers for your wedding or event is not the same as purchasing a dress. Each florist has his or her own style, specialty, level of service and quality standards. Comparing florist's prices is like comparing apples to potatoes. The best price is not always the best choice.
10. Remember that you are hiring JMS for our artistic skills, our years of knowledge and our unique creativity. You have chosen us for our attributes- please allow us to use them to guide you and your event. Your event will thank you for it.
